Eskimo Dance Fans! These fans are hand-crafted with the utmost care and pride.
The exterior rounded base is hand-woven using durable Alaskan Sweet Grass. This is the same grass used in the art of Basketry. At the lower exterior base, is attached caribou beard. The beards were havested on Mekoryak Island in Alaska. The woven spiral colored design that encircles the fan is dyed seal gut. This is a traditional pattern that is the hallmark of quality dance fans. All seal
gut that was used in the making of these fans were harvested near Newtok, Alaska on the Bering Sea. The interior design is hand-sewn on birch bark. The
beautiful image itself is made out of dyed sweet grass and porcupine quills hand sewn into birch bark.

This set
is made from both natural and dyed sweet grass, red dyed seal gut, flowing caribou beard, porcupine quills, and
